I have been living and working in Hughenden for ten years now, and I truly enjoy my work as the Language Arts teacher for the junior and senior high at HPS. From a very young age I have had a passion for reading, and the more I read, the more I admire the art of a sharp turn of phrase. I believe that effective communication is one of the most important skill sets a person can develop, so that our relationships and our endeavors can become enriching and satisfying. And, happily, this year I get a chance to teach drama to junior high, which is the most fun I can imagine getting paid to have!

I love the variety and richness of the human experience, and because of this I enjoy learning about other cultures; one wall of my classroom features a collage of images highlighting the tremendous and interesting variety of life on earth. So far, I can count to ten in eight languages, and am working on my ninth. I wish I spoke French with more fluency, and I wish I had a chance to practice my conversational Mandarin more often.

I am so blessed to have married the loving father of my six-year-old son three summers ago, and we are excited to see what the future holds for us in this caring and close-knit community.
